Qflip uses the NetFlix API to give Internet users the chance to vote on the next movie from your NetFlix Q.

NetFlix users opt-in with the service and can then present users with 5 of their top 25 recommended movies (using the NetFlix recommendation engine) to be rated on. Once voting closes, that movie is automatically added to the user's queue and will be shipped in the standard fashion.

Great app, really well done. However, how did you guys take 2nd place without following one of the key rules?

Reporting the plugins, gems and third party API’s needed.

SO FUN HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO FUN

@Pneumonic: Thanks for the feedback. The errors you’re getting are due to how netflix redirects – we’ve found that clicking on the ‘continue’ button causes those issues. If you just let netflix silently redirect you to our site that error doesn’t happen. It’s something that we plan to fix once the competition is over.

Also, that was me who received ‘Animal Crackers’ in my Q: I’ve already gotten one great recommendation (Maria Full of Grace) from users, so it’s been a pretty fun app to use on both sides of the spectrum.

Your app seems really unique, that’s for sure. I do have to agree that it is for a limited userbase (albeit I am part of that userbase) so it does make it less of a useful app for everyone. However, I do find it very cool and while it may have no intrinsic value in it, I think it could open up people to new and different movies. I was amused to see that someone had recommended “Animal Crackers” by the Marx Brothers to someone yesterday (it’s one of my favorite movies), so it could open up a whole new genre to a younger generation.

When I tried to login to my netflix and have it setup, I received errors each time, so unfortunately, again, the usability takes a hit. I really would have liked to of given you guys a better shot, but since the app isn’t working for me, I can’t really do much about it. Great design, though.

By far the most attractive application in the competition. Kudos to your designer.

The internet is full of hate – sorry you guys didn’t like the idea, you seem to be in the minority. Don’t take things too seriously.

not useful really at all

The app is good, but i accept with Vilashikia that this app is not so useful for the global users. It’s really a tough app to be completed within 48hrs. Are you sure that the team of 4 did this within 48hrs?. If yes my hats off to them.

This project may get 1st prize. But I don’t think Its have that much useful and fun project for global users. This is a one project among millions. thats it.

no

no body use it

it very useless

These dudes rock my socks off.
